Chipboard [Cardboard] 4" (H) Unused Lobby Holiday Decor Concept Client: Empire State Building Design: Holiday Image / Richard Buran I generated this idea after multiple design iterations from fellow designers were rejected by the client. My premise took its inspiration from the deco flourishes on the Empire State Building's spire. If approved, they would have been 8' tall forms [similar to light boxes] and outlined in LED ribbon lighting. (c) Holiday Image

Prototype light set with custom color bulbs. Client: Saks Fifth Avenue Design: Holiday Image I hand-glittered each bulb with a clear, chunky acrylic "glitter" using a two-part epoxy adhesive. I then mixed the colors by eye based on a color chart provided by the client. This was accomplished by mixing acrylic paints with acrylic gloss medium. Each bulb was hand-pained with multiple coats. 18" (W) Client / Design: Victoria's Secret Holiday Image Using shaped designed by Victoria's Secret as a start, I was tasked with constructing a light-weight form composed of inexpensive materials. I used chipboard [cardboard], wire and two-part epoxy adhesive. The completed wing structure was then masked in white felt and covered in features. (c) Victoria's Secret

18" (W) Client / Design: Victoria's Secret Holiday Image Note: The finished product in this photo is the result of a collaborative effort. Using the form I made in the previous photo, Holiday Image production staff added feathers and rhinestones. I dyed all the feathers and produced all wing forms used in this project. It was a run of a dozen wings in different shapes and sizes from 18" (H) to 48" (H). (c) Victoria's Secret

Wire, bent and soldered Holiday Image This project was done as a favor for a representative of one of our clients. He was entering a fashion design competition and needed 80 assorted pieces of these which he was then going to attach to his clothing designs.

Wire, bent and soldered Holiday Image This project was done as a favor for a representative of one of our clients. He was entering a fashion design competition and needed 80 assorted pieces of these which he was then going to attach to his clothing designs. In the stage featured here, all 80 pieces had returned from an auto body shop where they were spray-painted fuchsia, black and white.

24" (H) x 36" (W) Client: Gap Design: Holiday Image Using a supplied graphic, I projected the image onto plywood and traced it. I then hand-cut the piece using a jigsaw. I sanded and filled any imperfections and stained the wood. (c) Holiday Image (c) Gap

Client: Gap Design: Holiday Image I supervised and actively participated in the production of four - 12' long ladders. This photo features the ladders in a display mock-up at Gap's offices. (c) Holiday Image (c) Gap
